Garmin Trolling Motor Remote

As the lead designer from the outset, I was responsible for the Garmin Trolling Motor Remote’s development from concept to final refinement and execution. This included front-end development, early concept iteration, design refinement, hands-on prototyping, and CAD development and refinement. As part of a larger ecosystem of marine navigation products, the remote was designed to seamlessly integrate with the trolling motor system and a wireless foot pedal, with each element working together to enhance the on-the-water experience. While I led the design of the remote’s sleek, ergonomic, and intuitive form, two other designers led the development of the trolling motor itself and the wireless foot pedal. This collaborative, system-wide approach ensured all components functioned both independently and cohesively, giving anglers precise, effortless control in any fishing environment.
